Oracle’s Stock Surges on Meta Cloud Deal and AI Revenue Forecast
Oracle's shares climbed 3% following confirmation of a cloud partnership with Meta and an ambitious AI revenue projection. The database giant now anticipates its AI-powered data platform revenue will reach $20 billion by fiscal 2030, up from $2.4 billion in 2025.
Executives at Oracle's AI World conference highlighted surging demand for computing capacity and improved hardware access as key growth drivers. "We see immense demand," said co-CEO Clay Magouyrk, noting supply chain improvements will accelerate delivery capabilities in coming years.
The company disclosed $65 billion in new cloud infrastructure commitments across seven contracts with four major clients—none being OpenAI. This clarification addresses market speculation about Oracle's dependence on the ChatGPT Maker for growth.
